Gene "Big Daddy"

Gene "Big Daddy"
Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar

You wouldn’t know that Gene picked up a bass for the first time a few years ago based on a dare from Finger drummer, Lee M. Years later, Gene now owns some of the finest gear available. Bored with the simple bass lines, Gene prefers to run the neck with some of the blues runs on Led Zeppelin or Queen cover tunes. Primary vocalist for all Johnny Cash and ZZ Top cover tunes, Gene is getting very comfortable behind the microphone as he assumes more responsibility for lead vocals.

Gene's weapons of choice are a MusicMan Sterling bass and, occasionally, a Schecter C-4 "XXX" known as the "Stripper" guitar. Big gigs call for the QSC Audio amp and BBE BMAX pre-amp driving the thunder through a David Eden 4x10 cabinet and/or a Markbass (the guitar, not the fish) 2x10 cabinet. Smaller gigs might see the Markbass 1x12 combo amp. No one has ever said “we can’t hear the bass” at one of our concerts.
